Julia Ann Short and George W. Huffines were married in Sumner County, TN. on November 1, 1876 (Sumner County Marriage Index). Julia, the daughter of Jennetty White and Isaac M. Short, was born on August 10, 1857. She and husband George moved to Texas about 1893. She died on the May 29, 1911 in Roosevelt Co., New Mexico and is buried at Portales. George was the son of William Crawford Huffines and Margaret Ray. He was born in Simpson Co., KY.
