Herbert Eugene (H. E.) Durrett was the son of Herbert Eugene (Bert) Durrett and Myrtle Garrison (Photo of Bert and Myrtle Durrett). He was born in Hardin County, Texas on 9 August 1916 and died in Inverness, Florida on 28 March 1970. He married Christine Lucille Mabry, daughter of Henry Bascom Mabry and Emma Pearl Daniel, on 3 April 1938 in Franklin, Ky.
