Buck Stone Dies At Home Near Witham
Buck Stone, a veteran of the Civil war, died at his home near Witham in this county after being in feeble health for some time. His death was the result of the infirmities of age. Mr. Stone, who was eighty-three years old, was born and reared in Macon County and came to Sumner in early manhood. He was a life long Democrat and a citizen of high repute. Mr. Stone's wife precede him to the grave last year. Two children survive him, Mrs. George Key of this county and John Stone of West Tennessee. The burial was held Friday at New Hope Cemetery.
