Mrs. Sue Price
After an illness of two years, Mrs. Susie Cook Price, aged 57 years, died at her home two miles north of Lafayette at an early hour Friday night. She was the widow of the late John C. Price, formerly Superintendent of Macon County Schools. He died several years ago. She is survived by three sons, Willie and Joe Price, both of Lafayette; and Elmer Price of Cincinnati; three daughters, Mrs. Truman Eller of Hillsdale, Mrs. Tollie Wilburn of Hartsville, and Mrs. Robert O'Leary of Nashville; four brothers, George Cook of Carthage, Lon Cook of Hartsville: and Sam and William Cook, both of Lafayette; and a sister, Mrs. R. L. Price, of near Lafayette. Burial was made Sunday afternoon in Haysville Cemetery, following funeral services conducted by Elder Herman Taylor from the Lafayette Church of Christ, with which she had been identified for a number of years. Mrs. Price was a patient sufferer during her long illness. She was a devoted member of her church and was deeply interested in the welfare of her children and her community.
