The foregoing is a true & perfect inventory & account of sales of the personal estate of Edmun Turpin dec'd which has come to my hands or of which I have any knowledge except the crop and land at the death of testator & one gray mare which has been delivered according to the will - notes with good security taken for all that is sold to be due 22nd Aug. next.

Know all men by these persents that we, Elias E. Vinson and Elizabeth Vinson wife of said Elias E. and the daughter and one of the heirs at law and legal distributees of Edmond Turpin State of Sumner County in the state of Tennessee deceased, do hereby constitute and appoint William L. Vinson of Sumner County of and said our agent and attorney in fact and do hereby authorize and empower him to (torn) and receive all sums of money due us or either of us in the county and state aforesaid and particularly to demand and receive of the Administrator of said decedent, or of J. L. Bugg, Clerk of the County Court of said Sumner County the sum of Twenty one dollars & fifteen cents or any greater or less sum of money or distributive share of said Edmond Turpin's Estate due, owing, coming to, or belonging to us or either of us and upon receipt of said distributive share of said estate to receipt for the same under real or otherwise as the law of said state or the custom & rules of said court may require whatsoever our attorney shall lawfully do in the premises we hereby ratify & confirm as if we were present & did the same in our own proper persons.  Witness our hands and seals this the sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred & sixty.

within and for said County this 16th day of April A. D. 1860 personally came the within named Elias E. Vinson and Elizabeth Vinson his wife and they each acknowledged the execution and the beginning and dealings of the within letter or power of attorney to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.

  these presents that
James A. Turpin of the County and State as above hath this day bargained and sold and hereby transfere and convey unto M. H. Moss his heirs and assigns forever for the consideration of twenty five dollars by him in hand paid my entire interest  in either by  will or decent the estate of my father Edmund Turpin deceased, late of the County of Sumner and State aforesaid.  In witness whereof I have hereunto fixed my hand and Seal on this the ____ day of 1850.
