I John Baber bind myself, heirs, executors to pay Peter Sang the sum of
five hundred and forty dollars the condition of this obligation is such that
whereas the said Peter Sang this day purchased of me for five hundred and
forty dollars in the following payments to wit: fifty dollars in hand
paid, two hundred and forty three dollars due the 25 December 1860 for which
his note under seal has been given and executed to me, one note due
24 Sept. 1860 for one hundred dollars, one note for one hundred and forty
dollars due 24 Sept. 1861 for which his note under seal has been given
and executed to me a Tract of land in Sumner County in Dist. No. 17
state of Tennessee and bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake on
the Nashville Road on Benders line running North to Canna fork creek, thence
with said creek to the mill, thence East across the creek to William Barber
line, thence south up the pond to a white oak, thence East to a black gum
thence North west to said road, thence with said road to the beginning. If
I should make or cause to be made to the said Peter Sang his heirs or assigns
a good and lawful title fee simple with general warranty deed to said tract
of land on making of the last payment then this obligation to be void otherwise
to remain in full force and vesture this 24 Sept. 1859.

Bugg Clerk of the County Court of said county John Barber the bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he made and executed the foregoing title bond for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at office this 21st day of May 1861.
