For and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars paid as follows: Thirty Dollars before possession is ever taken of
said house & lot and one-third of the remainder, to wit: One-Third of
$170.00 and interest thereon from this date payable every six months and
in the event he fails to pay said one-third at maturity the whole thereof
shall become due and collectable. And Mary Belle Richardson joins in this
deed and waives her homestead & dower right. To have and to hold said
house & lot unto party of the second part, his heirs & assigns forever.

H. Williams, Clerk of the Monroe County Court, certify that the foregoing
Deed from Basil Richardson & etc., to George Welch was on the 6th day
of Dec. 1901 produced to me Clerk of said County Court, and acknowledged
before me by Basil Richardson & Mary B. Richardson to be their act and
deed as appears from an endorsement thereon in these words: " Acknowledged
before me in due form of law by Basil Richardson & Mary B. Richardson
his wife Dec. 6, 1898. O. H. Williams, C. M. C. C." and the same was lodged
in this office for record Dec. 6, 1901 whereupon I have recorded it and this
certificate. This the 7 of Dec. 1901.
