Know all men by these presents that we Wilson L. Meador and Elizabeth Meador his wife of the County of Cole, in the State of Missouri lawful heirs of the estate of Thomas Howser late of the County of Monroe in the State of Kentucky deceased have this day for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred dollars in hand paid to the said Wilson L. Meador by Moses Rhoades of the County of Macon in the State of Tennessee granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents, do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Moses Rhoades, the following described lands situated in the County of Monroe and State of

Kentucky, that is to say, One ninth 1/9 portion or part equal and undivided in and to all the lands or real estate belonging to the estate of Thos. Howser deceased as aforesaid to have and to hold the premises hereby convey with all the rights privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said Moses Rhoades his heirs and assigns forever. I the said Wilson L. Meador hereby covenanting to and with the said Moses Rhoades his heirs and assigns for himself his heirs executors and administrators, to warrant and defend the title to the premises hereby conveyed against the claim of every person whatsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names and affixed our seals this 1st day of September 1866.

State of Missouri, County of Cole - Set. - Be it remembered that Wilson L. Meador who is personally known to the undersigned a Justice of the peace within and for said County to be the person whose name is subscribed in the foregoing deed, as a party thereto. This day appeared before me and acknowledged that he executed and delivered the same as his voluntarily act and deed for the uses and purposes therein contained. Given under my hand this 1st day of September 1866. B. McDavit, J. P.

State of Missouri, County of Cole - I W. H. Lusk Clerk of the County Court in and for said County certify that B McDavit is a duly elected and commissioned Justice of the peace within and for the County and State aforesaid and that his signature to the above is genuine and that full faith and credit are due all his official acts. In testimony whereof I, W. H. Lusk Clerk of said Court have hereto set my hand and the seal of said Court at office in the City of Jefferson this 8th day of September A. D. 1866.

State of Kentucky, County of Monroe - Set. - I J. C. Conkin Clerk of Monroe County Court certify this deed from Wilson L. Meador to Moses Rhoades was this day filed in my office for record, whereupon I have recorded the same together with the certificates therein endorsed & this certificate in my office duly stamped March 25th 1867.
