William Perry to James Harrison - 1801

Know all men by these present that I William Perry of the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee hath this day bargained and sold to James Harrison of the same place a Negro Girl named Cary about seven or eight old for a consideration of two hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the said James Harrison the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge & do hereby covenant and agree to warrant and defend the said Negro girl Cary to the said James Harrison his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim of all persons whatsoever. Given under my hand and seal this 30th day of April A. D. 1801. William Perry (Seal)
