Montgomery McConnell and Daniel McConnell a deed to John McConnell for 125 acres land on Goose Creek.

This Indenture made this 20th day of April in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eight between Montgomery McConnell and Daniel McConnell of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the one part, and John McConnell of the County and State aforesaid of the other part: Witnesseth that the said Montgomery McConnell and Daniel McConnell for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and twenty five dollars to them in hand paid by the said John McConnell, the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said John McConnell a certain piece or parcel of land, lying or being in the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee upon the waters of Goose Creek, it being part of a tract of land originally granted to Wm. Sanders by letters patent bearing date the twelfth of November in the year of Our Lord 1795 and twentieth year of American Independence and turning as follows: Beginning at a beech Jas. Grahams South Corner turning West eighty poles to a poplar, thence West two hundred and fifty poles to a beech, thence East eighty poles to a sugar tree James Grahams Corner, thence South with his line Two hundred and Fifty poles to the beginning. Containing by estimation one hundred and twenty five acres be the same more or less which said piece or parcel of land with all ways woods waters and every other appurtenance thereunto belonging or appertaining Montgomery and Daniel McConnell for themselves their Executors, Administrators or assigns hath hereby set over conveyed released and confirmed to the said John McConnell his heirs Executors, Administrators devises or assigns and they the said Montgomery and Daniel McConnell for themselves their Executors or Administrators that they the said Montgomery McConnell and Daniel McConnell their heirs, Executors or Administrators and shall or will Warrant and forever defend the said piece or parcel of land with all and every of its members and appurtenances perform any lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever unto the said John McConnell his heirs Executors, Administrators or assigns forever. It Witness whereof, the said Montgomery and Daniel McConnell hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

State of Tennessee Sumner County June Court Sessions 1808.

The within deed of bargain and sale between Montgomery McConnell and Daniel McConnell of the one part and John McConnell of the other part for 125 acres of land was duly acknowledged in open Court by the said Montgomery and Daniel McConnell the grantors.
