Littleberry Mason To John Alderson - Deed
State of Tennessee, Sumner County - This indenture made in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty between Littleberry Mason of the county of Sumner and state of Tennessee of the one part and John Alderson of the other part witnessed that for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained sold and conveyed unto John Alderson a certain tract or parcel of land lying on the waters of the Sulphur Lick Fork of Drakes Creek of Big Barren River. Beginning at a hickory, the north east corner of a thousand acre survey made in the name of John Guinn running east one hundred and five poles to a white oak thence south thirty two poles to a stake and pointers a corner of a survey made in the name of William Dinning running thence west forty eight poles with William Dinning line to a post oak corner to said Dinning, thence south with Dinning line forty poles is a black oak corner to said Dinning, thence west with another of said Dinning line thirty eight poles to a white oak corner to Dinning, thence south with another of said Dinning's lines ninety two poles to a past a corner to said Dinning, thence west twenty nine poles to a stake on the east boundary line of the thousand acre survey made in the name of John Guinn, thence north with the said line of the thousand acre survey one hundred and twenty one poles to the beginning containing forty acres more or less to have and to hold the above described tract of land and bargained premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said John Alderson his heirs and assigns forever from me the said Littleberry Mason, my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns. I the said Littleberry Mason doth forever warranty and defend by these presents and witness whereof I the said Littleberry Mason doth set my hand and seal the 15th February 1850. State of Tennessee, Sumner County - Court February Term 1830 - Deed of Bargain in a sale from Littleberry Mason to John Alderson for forty acres of land was duly proved in open court by the oaths of John Boyle & Robert Harris the subscribing witnesses thereto ordered to be registered.
