Sumner County I Peter Ketring for and in consideration of $1200 50 cts. to me paid and for the Love and affection I have for my son Hugh A. Catron to the amount of $200 I hereby Bargain and sell to my son the tract of Land I purchased of Reuben Tally Senr. in Sumner County District No. 9 joining the Lands of Wadkins heirs Taylor heirs and others and Bounded as follows (viz) Beginning at a Sugartree and dogwood Rutherford Corner then North 63 poles to a sugar tree in Rutherfords line W 128 poles to a stake in Joyners old line then South 45 poles to a stake then W 18 poles to a stake near an ash Taylors corner then S 39 poles to a hickory stump Bruces then E 95 poles to a stake Bruces corner then South 38 poles to a rock Watkins corner then E 140 poles with Watkins line to a stake in Sd. line and then North 61 poles to a stake in Rutherfords line then West 129 poles to the Beginning by Estimation 125 acres. I also sell to the sd. to the H. A. Catron the undivided interest of Phillip M. Watkins in the tracts of land that formerly belonged to sd. Watkins Farther Robert Watkins dec'd supposed to be 37 1/2 acres and adjoining the above described land the said H. A. Catron to have and to hold the above described in as full and ample a manner me my heirs Exects. could have done had we never bargained sold conveyed or confirmed it away.
