This Indenture made this twenty six day of February one thousand eight hundred and twelve between Edward Gwin of Sumner County and State of Tennessee of the one part and William McKindree of the county and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Edward Gwin for and in consideration of twelve Dollars to here in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged hath bargained and sold by these presents doth bargain sell alien enfeoff confirm unto the said William McKindree all that tract or parcel of land situated lying & being in the County of Sumner aforesaid on the Waters of Red River Beginning at two small Hickores, thence South one hundred poles to a stake & several sprouts, thence East Nineteen & a half poles to a post oak in Thomas Groves North boundary line, thence North One hundred poles to ______, thence West to the Beginning, containing twelve acres more or less together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold to the said William McKendrie his heirs and assigns forever and the said Gwin doth for himself his heirs Executors we covenant and agree to with the said William McKendrie his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the afore land and premises against all manner of persons whatsoever claiming any Right to Title thereto the said land. The within deed of bargain & sale between Edward Gwin of the one part and William McKendree of the other part for 12 acres of land was duly acknowledged in open Court by the said Edward Gwin the bargainer & ordered to be Registered - A Copy Test David Shelby Clerk of said Court
