For and in consideration of the sum of ($900.00) Nine Hundred Dollars, paid and to be paid by S. E. Garrison, as follows;
$500.00 is paid in cash, the receipt of which is herewith acknowledged, and the balance of $400.00, is paid by the said Garrison, assuming and agreeing to pay a mortgage now held by E. D. Brooks.
Said mortgage is of record in Mortgage Book - - - - Page R. O. S. C. Tennessee.
We, Mrs. Alice Garrison, Robert A. Garrison and wife Maudie Garrison, W. V. Garrison and wife Bernice Garrison, and Jake Summers and wife Jessie Garrison Summers, the heirs of S. P. Garrison, deceased.
This being all the heirs of the said S. P. Garrison deceased, except S. E. Garrison, who is the grantee herein.
Have this day bargained and sold, and by these presents do transfer and convey unto the said S. E. Garrison and wife, Drucilla Garrison, their heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in Sumner County, State of Tennessee, as follows:
Situated in the 16th Civil District of Sumner County and the town of Portland, and bounded and described as follows:
Being lots #4 and #5 and beginning at Groves N. W. corner; thence east with his North line 170 feet to Groves and Galloways corner; thence north with Galloway's line 179 feet to a stake; W. 170 feet to a stake in East edge of Main street; thence with the East edge of Main Street 188 feet to the beginning, and being the same land conveyed to S. P. Garrison by deed of record in Deed Book 92 pages 25 R. O. S. C. Tennessee.  To have and to hold the same tract of of land, with the appurtenances, estate, and interest thereto belonging; to the said S. E. Garrison and wife Drucella Garrison, their heirs and assigns, forever, And we do covenant with the said S. E. Garrison and wife that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land in fee simple, have a good right to convey it, and the same is unincumbered, And we do further covenant and bind ourselves, our heirs and representatives, to warrant and forever defend the title to said land to the said S. E. Garrison and wife, their heirs and assigns, against the lawful claim of all persons whomsoever.

State of Tennessee, Sumner County.  Personally appeared before me G. T. Hollis, a Notary Public in and for said County and State, the within named, Mrs. Alice Garrison, Robert A. Garrison, and wife Maudie Garrison, Jake Summers and wife Jesse Garrison Summers, W. V. Garrison and wife, Bernice Garrison, and S. E. Garrison the bargainors, with whom I am personally acquainted, and acknowledged that they executed the annexed instrument for the purposes therein contained.
Maudie Garrison, Jessie Summers and Bernice Garrison, wives of the said Robert A. Garrison, W. V. Garrison and Jake Summers, having personally appeared before me, privately and apart from their husbands, the said Maudie Garrison, Jessie Summers and Bernice Garrison acknowledged the execution of the said instrument to have been done by her freely, voluntarily, and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from her said husband, and for the purposes therein expressed.
