A deed from Frances McKendree & Nancy D. McKendree to James McKendree 200 acres.

This Indenture made this tenth day of October in the year of our lord one thousand eight Hundred and fifteen, between Frances McKendree & Nancy McKendree Both of Sumner County and State of Tennessee of the one part, and James McKendree of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Frances McKendree and Nancy McKendree for and in Consideration of the sum of five Hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said James McKendree, the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged, Hath given granted bargained sold aliened Conveyed and Confirmed unto the said James McKendree his heirs and assigns forever, a Certain tract or parcel of land Situated lying & being in the County of Sumner bounded by the lines of Allen Groves, Christopher Woodale, Thomas Granger, Normon Peake decd, Joshua Smith and William McKendree, situated & lying on the Waters of Red River in the first district Beginning sixty poles ____ ____ ____ ____ South east Corner in said Peakes east boundary line to a poast oak running from thence south sixty poles to a poast oak Peakes South East Corner, thence south with his line one Hundred and sixty nine poles to a poast oak, thence south to James W. Harrises north east Corner Continuing with His line in all one hundred and twenty three poles to a black jack, thence east two Hundred and forty two poles to a Stake, thence north eighty five poles to a hickory thence west twenty two poles to a black oak; thence north one hundred and six poles to a black jack, thence west fifty one poles to the beginning, Containing two hundred Acres be the same more or less, also all the right title Claim & the trust that the said Frances & Nancy McKendree hath to a fifty acre tract of land granted to William McKendree & Situated and adjoining the said two hundred acres above described on the North & according to the Corners and marked line laid down in the grant & issued? to the said William McKendree to Have & to Hold the aforesaid land with all & singular the rights profits monuments Here on adamants? & appurtenances of in & to the land belonging, or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use & behoof of the said James McKendree his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Frances And Nancy McKendree for themselves their Executors and Administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said James McKendree his heirs or assigns that they Before recited land and bargained premises they will warrant and forever defend against the right title Interest or Claim of all and every person or persons whatever.

In Witness where of the said Frances and Nancy McKendree hath here unto Set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above Written.

Gwin Subscribing witnesses there to and assigned to be Registered & Copy Test
