Know all men by these presents that I George D. Blackmore of Sumner County and State of Tennessee for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars in hand paid by George Roberts and Peter Stealey acting under and known by the firm Roberts & Stealey of the same County and State the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledged, do hereby give, grant, sell and convey to the said Roberts & Stealey their heirs and assigns forever all that lot of land situate lying and being in the Town of Cairo, bounded on the North by lot number one, on the East by lands of Josephus H. Conn, on South by Cumberland River and on the West by Oak Street, containing half an acre of land more or less. Which will more fully appear by reference there unto being had. To have and to hold the said granted said bargained premises with the privileges and appurtenances thereof to the said Roberts & Stealey their heirs and assigns forever to them and their use and behoof forever and further that the streets and alleys as laid out in the plan of the said town shall forever remain common highways to the citizens thereof and I the said George D. Blackmore for myself my heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said Roberts & Stealey their heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized of the premises that they are free of all encumbrances that I have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said Roberts & Stealey their heirs and assigns forever to hold aforesaid land that I will warrant and defend the same to the said Roberts & Stealey their heirs & assigns forever against the

The within Deed of Bargain & sale between George D. Blackmore of the one part & George Roberts & Peter Stealey of the other part, for a lot of land in the town of Cairo containing half an acre, was duly acknowledged in open Court by the said George D. Blackmore the bargainer and ordered to be recorded.
