Arch Gregory To William R. Tuttle

Deed of Gift - 1895

Source: Sumner County, Tennessee Deeds

Transcribed by Linda Carpenter

I, Arch Gregory being in my right mind and knowing the certainty of death and wishing not to be burdensome to any of my children, have this day given and granted to William R. Tuttle, my son in law, all that I possess, both personal and real property, all notes and accounts, one bay mare, all property of all description, that I own or may own at my death, except what cash I have on hand, which money is to pay my burial expenses. Now, the said W. R. Tuttle is to take care of me during my life, both feed and cloth me, if clothing is needed, and pay the doctor if one is called in. I am to make said Tuttle's house my home, with the privilege of going to see my other children and neighbors if I am able. Now, we both agree to stand to and perform this deed of gift. Given under my hand and seal, this the 2nd day of November 1895. Arch (his mark) Gregory (Seal)

In presence of:

Joseph (his mark) Tuttle
