Clark, Samuel E. - Discharged on disability June 8, 1862. Never paid. Double barreled shotgun valued at $30, furnished by R. Allen.

Clenny, Henry - Enlisted at Saltillo, Mississippi, November 19, 1862, for three years. On General Forrest's Invasion of Memphis, received two injuries. Fell on stairway in the Gayoso Hotel while searching for the Union commander. Then his horse fell on sidewalk injuring him severely. At the battle of Nashville he left the army and went home. Prior service in Company C, 7th Tennessee Infantry, also see.

Micajah T. Griffin - Captain. Resigned upon non-election at the reorganization. Went home. Recruited Company A, 9th Tennessee Cavalry, also see.

Fisher A. Cole - 2nd Lieutenant. Not elected at reorganization.

Alfred Jackson - 2nd Lieutenant.. In battle of Shiloh. Exposure on retreat from Shiloh caused paralysis. Laid in a blacksmith shop for three weeks with no medical care. Discharged at reorganization by Special Order No. 84 from General Beauregard. While this was being arranged he was transferred to Company I, 2nd Tennessee Infantry in place of John E. Denning, who was later killed at Harrisburg, Mississippi.

Andrew A. Jones - Bvt. 2nd Lieutenant. Not reelected at reorganization. Enlisted in Company E, 43rd Tennessee Infantry.

Elias W. Armstrong - 1st Sergeant. Detailed as assistant Quartermaster, November 15, 1861. Discharged just before reorganization.

James T. Austin* - 1st Sergeant, replacing Armstrong. 1st Lieutenant, May 15, 1862, replacing Cole. Wounded in right shoulder at Palo Alto, Mississippi, April 24, 1863. In hospital four months. Wounded in left thigh by mini ball at Harrisburg, Mississippi, July 13, 1864. In hospital eight weeks. Paroled at Gainesville, Alabama, June 10, 1865. Was sent with Sidney B. Rigsbee in early 1862, to carry a sick comrade John R. Culbreath home to Richland Station (Portland).

John A. Brinkley* - 2nd Sergeant. Elected Captain at reorganization in place of Captain Griffin. Wounded at Scottsboro, Alabama, March 31, 1865.

Warren L. Cochran* - 3rd Sergeant. Made 5th Sergeant at reorganization. Given a 30 day furlough November 9, 1862. Did not return.

James L. Shaw* - 4th Sergeant. Made 1st Sergeant at reorganization. Detailed to buy horses, July 1, 1863. Did not return. Had been captured at Gallatin, July 22, 1863. Oath.

William C. Jackson* - 1st Corporal. Sent home November 8, 1862, to get clothing Returned to regiment May 12, 1863. Deserted October 15, 1863. Captured at Columbia, Tennessee, sent to Nashville. Oath, to be released at Mitchellville, Tennessee.

William M. Wilson - 2nd Corporal. Made 3rd Sergeant, at reorganization, replacing Cockran. Furnished horse valued at $1,200.

John R. BrinkIey - 3rd Corporal. Made 1st Sergeant, at reorganization, replacing Austin. Wounded at Fort Pillow, Tennessee, April 10, 1864. Left at Brownsville, Tennessee, unable to be moved.

Andrew J. Pearson - 4th Corporal. Ordered to report for duty at Gallatin. Did not report. Marked deserted. Name appears in Company E, 2nd Tennessee Cavalry "Ashby's".

Samuel R Kelly - Bugler. On sick report September 27, 1862. Helpless. Robert H Jackson detailed to care for him. Died at Fulton, Mississippi, October 19, 1862, the day his enlistment expired.

John E. Lefler - Bugler. Double barreled shotgun valued at $15, furnished by self.

William Crabb* - Blacksmith. Bugler. Wounded in chest at Shiloh, April 7, 1862, by canister. Disabled several months. Wounded at Harrisburg, Mississippi, July 13, 1864. On detached service, led by Captain Rickman to destroy the L & N Railroad near Mitchellville, Tennessee. Mission failed. Double barreled shotgun valued at $15 furnished by self. He and wife died in Sumner County Poor House.

Joseph V. W. Frease - Blacksmith. Deserted February 17, 1863.

Abston, Henry L. - Enlisted June 12, 1862. Double barreled shotgun valued at $35, furnished by Mr. Wilkinson. Also served in Company F, 8th Tennessee Cavalry.

Bailey, Samuel H. - Deserted between Gallatin and Nashville on retreat from Bowling Green, Kentucky, February 17, 1862. Had been guarding the railroad between South Tunnel and Nashville.

Baldridge, Charles* - Wounded accidentally on march August 30, 1862. Sent to hospital at Okolona, Mississippi. Shown on roll through October 1863.

Biggs, William S. - Enlisted February 2, 1862. Accidentally wounded in foot by own gun. At home able to go about when the regiment retreated from Bowling Green, Kentucky, February 17, 1862. Claimed Rheumatism and paralysis. Marked as deserter.

Biggs. Sanford B. - Deserted March, 14, 1865. Oath at Memphis.

Bracken, William - Enlisted at reorganization. No further record. Prior service in the 2nd Cavalry Battalion which by consolidation became part of the 6th Tennessee Cavalry.

Briley, Elisha* - Wounded and captured at Pulaski, Tennessee, September 27, 1864. Both bones in leg broken by mini ball. Leg amputated same day in U. S. hospital at Nashville where he died November 9, 1864, from exhaustion, from effects from the gunshot wound. Grave No. 9783, Nashville City Cemetery.

Briley, S. Howard* - Deserted at Egypt, Mississippi, December 17, 1862, angered by an officers remark. With Jacob "Dock" Link.

Brinkley, Henry A.* - Court Martial forfeiture of one month's pay for absence without leave. Detailed as nurse for J. K. Brinkley, who was wounded at Fort Pillow, Tennessee.

Dobbins, Richard B.* - 2nd Lieutenant, June 15, 1862. Captured at Pulaski, Tennessee, November 23, 1863. Sent to Camp Chase, 0hio. Was asked when he was going to take the oath, his reply was, "When Hell freezes over.'' He did not have to wait 'that long. Was released by special order of President Lincoln, April 23, 1864.

Douglas, Robert* - Wounded at Fort Pillow, Tennessee, April 12, 1864.

Douglas, Charles Sanders - Prior service in companies F and H, 30th Tennessee Infantry, also see. After service in above mentioned Companies enlisted in this Company and was paroled at Citronelle, Alabama, May 11, 1865.

Douglas, James - Enlisted at reorganization. No further record. Name appears in Company D, 3rd Tennessee Cavalry.

Captured at his home in the Clearview Community. Carried to Nashville where He took the oath to avoid a northern prison. Afterwards a teacher in Sumner County, Tennessee.

West, Claiborne - Swam the Tennessee River at Johnsonville, Tennessee, November 4, 1864, to fasten a line to the U.S. Transport Mazeppa. He then rowed back across the river carrying the line and General Forest's forces pulled the Mazeppa across to the west side, thereby getting many valuable and badly needed supplies such as shoes, blankets, etc. Wounded at Harrisburg, Mississippi, July 13, 1864. Received his death wound came at Cherokee, Alabama, October 21, 1863, and died October 29, from the wound. Was leading his company with drawn sword when wounded. Died at Fulton, Mississippi.
