Calvin W. Pearson } Final Decree
Be it remembered the this cause coming on to be heard on the 13th of Apr.
of _____ AD 1846 before the Hon. B. L. Ridley Chancellor &^ upon the
Bill answer and proff. and the court being gathered that the Defendant Calvin
W. Pearson has been guilty of adultery as charged in the Bill adjudged _____
and decree that the bonds of matrimony now subsisting between said Kesiah
and Calvin W. Pearson be forever desolved and that the said Kesiah Pearson
be restored to all the rights and privileges of a "fem sole". And it further
appearing to the Court that the said Kesiah and Calvin W. Pearson have three
children to wit, Martha M. James W. and Lovena C. and the court being satisfied
that the interest of children would be promoted by giving their custody and
keeping to their mother the said Kesiah Pearson do so order and decree and
the Sheriff of Sumner County is hereby directed to put her in immediate
possession of the said three children and the said Calvin W. is hereby ____
and commanded to _____ interfere or molest the said Kesiah in their
possession or in any wise interfere with them.
It is further decreed that the Deft. pay the cost of this case and that execution issue for the same.
