Catherine Blanche Coppin was born on 7 May 1870 in Prospect, Halifax County, Nova Scotia. She married John O. Hardiman s/o Thomas Hardiman and Dorcas Christian on 8 November 1893 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. They had the following children:

Elizabeth Coppin Hardiman b. 18 March 1903 d. October 1975

Jono and Kate lived to well into their 70's and both died respectively on 24 February 1938 and 1 July 1943 in Prospect.
