+ (?) AZELRED Married: in Vienna and shortly after emigrated to USA
Note: Their marriage was suppose to be a marriage of convenience. Mr. Azelred volunteered for the US Army and immediately became an Army Intelligence Officer. He had been a “boulevardier” actor in Vienna, his talent for imitating people was truly astounding. He could transform his features without the help of make-up or props. He spent the entire WWII abroad and towards the end of WWII was in Germany, he came back after WWII and then returned to Germany, probably as a Secret Service Agent and hasn’t been heard from since.

- Anna PAPANEK Born: 1904 Buried: May 2, 1923 *special favorite of Hubert Adler and everybody’s favorite, was small, lithe and very pretty (like her mother) when she died of leukemia at the age of 19 source: H. J. Adler
- Luise PAPANEK occupation: Stylist in Amsterdam, Netherlans + (?) Van Den BERG Married: in Amsterdam. Died: few years after marriage in a plane crash. occupation:
Merchant
Note: Louise, was not as pretty as Anna but had some miraculous attraction on men. Her mother often told Hubert Adler how amazed she was at the great number of marriage offers she had at a very early age and from nice, responsible men. Louise, who always had exquisite taste became the stylist for the leading department store in Amsterdam. This was a high-ranking, responsible post. The stylist determined what should be bought for the store. The style of everything in the store is thereby unified, this gives a high-class store it’s “face”. source: H. J. Adler
