The story goes that E. Nicholas ORR Sr. brought his family to the United States when E. Nicholas ORR, Jr. was six months old. The journey took six weeks. They landed in New York and he worked in a nail factory, for three years. He then brought his family to Simpson's Creek, Harrison County, VA. He bought 100 acres on Barnes Run.
