Pg. 15-17 DD to Thomas Pratt A.D. 1781 To all people..I Jonathan Pratt of Brumfield Parish, Co., of Culpepper in consideration of 5 shillings also the further consideration of the Natural Love which I bear my Loving Son Jonathan Pratt Junr. and for his better support after my decease.. give parcel of land containing 150 acres being a part of a Patent granted to John and Martin Duett the 5th day of June 1736 for 400 acres which said 150 acres was sold to me by deeds of lease and release 22 and 23rd July 1741 duly recorded in County Court of Orange and bounded as followeth Beginning at the GERMAN ROAD where the line of the late William BEVERLEY Esqr. deceased crosses it running with Beverley's line to a red oak near a Rock of Stones to two white oaks standing one on each side of the said Road in Rose's line to beginning and the said Jonathan Pratt Junr. shall after my decease posses.. I have set my hand & seal 16th Nov. 1769.

Jonathan Pratt, Sr. and Hannah Roberts had the following children: Jonathan, Jr., m Mary Ann (Faulkner?), Thomas who married Mary Ann, a step-daughter from his wife Katherine Redman, Fanny who m Peter Crigler, William S., Julia Ann. (William and Julia are mentioned in the will of Jonathan, Sr.) These children are named in various documents. Hannah remarried John Stevens. There is also a James Pratt mentioned but the relationship is not identified.
