This photo was taken in Riparia, Wash., in March or April 1915, shortly after Mary Alice Brunner was born (DOB 6 March 1915). The gazebo in the background was located next to the Stuart Hotel, between the hotel and the Snake River. Hutchison studio of Endicott, Wash., took the picture. At the time of the photo, Margaret Brunner was 20/21 (DOB 14 March 1894), Alice Wineland was 35/36 (19 April 1879), Mary Jane Stuart was 57 (13 Aug. 1857) and Mary Ann Startin was 79 (1 Aug. 1835). Mary Ann Startin would die later that year, 12 Dec. 1915. The other four ladies would pose again in 1941 with Mary Alice (Brunner) Cottingham's first son, Danton Thomas Cottingham.
