Our earliest known Thomas ancestor is Lord Thomas born 1790 New York and died after 1760 in Story County, Iowa. The family lived in Marion County, Ohio before coming to Iowa. One son, William Burl Thomas remained in Marion County, and possibly has descendants in the area to the present time.
