    married Emmie Catherine Ingram "Emmie Ingraham" ¹ (or was she Emma Hale?²) (b. January 5, 1882 in Ashland, Nachitoches, LA, USA, d. December 30, 1967 in Nachitoches, LA, USA) [buried in The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church Cemetery] on January 7, 1900

1900 Census (Natchitoches, LA, Ward 4, District 73):

• Louis and his wife Emmie (b. January 1882) were living with Louis' mother (Roselia, b. August 1835)
• Living with them were Angela and Alex Laurant (neice b. February 1876 and nephew b. September 1882) and a boarder, Edward Roberts (b. May 1885).

1920 Census (Natchitoches, LA, Ward 4, District 42):

• Louis, Emmie, Sam, Mary Lou, Henry, and Pearl live with Emmie's mother Martha Ingram (age 86).  Louis was a farmer.
• Louis' father is listed as Canadian and his mother is from Louisiana. 
• Emmie's father is from Mississippi and her mother is from Georgia.  Martha's parents are both from Georgia.
• John. B. Wallet is listed as born in Louisiana in the 1860 Census.  Roselia Lafitte Wallet is listed as born in Louisiana in the 1860 Census

Carol O'Quinn:  My Husband, Louis Lemet O'Quinn, is the grandson of Louis Lemet Wallette, born Aug. 15, 1872 and died on April 22, 1945 in Campti, LA.  My husband's mother was Mary Lou Wallette O'Quinn.  Samual Everet Wallette, born April 6, 1906, moved to this area (Natchitoches) after his wife died.  He was such a nice gentleman.  I remember well his wife Emmie Catherine Ingram Wallette, and of couse my husband does.  Louis Wallette died when my husband was small but his older siblings remember their grandfather. 

Strange Coincidences:

• Angeline Laurant (1875, cousin) lived with Lewis L. Wallett (1855) and Olivia Wallett (1862) in 1880.
• In 1900 Lewis L. Wallett (1898, grandson) lived with Sylvan LeVasseur (1878, stepson), Lugar LeVasseur (1873, stepson), Alena LeVasseur (1875, stepdaughter) and the Malercons (Sostan 1849 and Celanie 1846), a few houses down from Louis L. Wallett (1872) and next door to Eusebius LeVasseur.

I am looking for descendents of Jean and Pierre Lafitte who Married into the Wallette family in the 1850s---Rosalia Lafitte and Noon Lafitte who married John B. Wallette and Earnest Louis Wallette respectively. Also , any information on Louis and Olivia Wallette.

I am researching John B. Wallette married to Rosalia Lafitte around 1855, and Louis Wallette married to Olivia Wallette around 1880. This branch of the Wallettes were from Campti. Also looking for Earnest Louis Wallette married to Noon Lafitte around 1850.
