John died March 12, 1959 in Jersey City, Hudson Co., New Jersey, at 75 years of age. His body was interred March 20, 1959 in Jersey City, Hudson Co., New Jersey. John immigrated, October 23, 1923. Destination: Bayonne, Hudson Co., New Jersey. According to the Ellis Island records, John Connachan and his family arrived in America aboard the ship "Columbia". Their destination was 229 Blvd., Bayonne, New Jersey where his sister Mary (Connachan) Johnston was living. His next nearest relative was his brother Hugh Connachan in Bathgate, Scotland.
