NOTES: There are only two Fryar's in Posey County, Indiana in 1840 and they are John and Joseph. In 1830 they are in Dearborn County, Indiana, but in 1820 there is only John Fryar. I have not been able to figure out who the father of all these children are. It looks like John could be the father of Sarah, George, Elias, Washington and Martha. The other's are just guesses at the moment. As far as I know Washingon and Elias never married until the mid 1840's which rules them out as the father's of the younger children pretty much. I have never found a marriage for George but he could be the father of George W., John A., Louisa Belle, Frances J. and Ann E. All these children are farmed out to different families in 1850 with Frances the only one being with George if she is indeed his daughter. George W., John A. and Louisa Belle are living with the Samuel Burnett family and Ann E. is living with the Christopher Burnett family. I am pretty sure that Samuel Burnett's wife is a Fryar but not so sure about Christopher's wife. Somehow I think they tie into the Fryar family other then just guardian's to the Fryar children. Also Joseph could be a possible father for some of these children. I will need to look for guardianship records in Posey County and see what I can come up with.
