William BEARD, 1 male 15 to 20 (Allen), 1 male 50 to 60 (William), 1 female 10 to 15 (Sarah), 1 female 20 to 30 (Tabitha), 1 female 40 to 50 (wife). Is this William the father of Samuel instead of the Alexander it is thought to be or is William an Uncle and brother to Alexander????

NOTES: John BROWN and Hayden Wells CHURCH found Samuel BAIRD in Marion, Perry County, Alabama and baptized him and many others into the LDS Church.

She was 50 in 1860, listed as Mary BEARD, born in Tennessee, living in Center Twp, Buchanan, Missouri in the home of John D. RITCHIE age 60 and his wife Catherine YATES RITCHIE age 48. Catherine was Mary's sister. But none of her children or with her, where are they??? Samuel Baird was suppose to have died before 1860 in New Orleans.
She was 59 in 1870, listed as Polly BELCHER, born in Tennessee, living in Center Twp, Buchanan, Missouri in the home of John D. RITCHIE age 70 and his wife Catherine YATES RITCHIE age 57. Catherine was Mary's sister. Her daughter Angeline BELCHER age 26 is living with them also.
She was 67 in 1880, listed as Mary P. BEARD, widow, mother, born in Tennessee, living in the home of her daughter Margaret J. and son-in-law Jacob E. COOK, in Center Twp, Buchanan, Missouri.

She was 47 in 1860, born in South Carolina, listed as Matilda G. SELBY, living in Palermo, Doniphan, Kansas Territory. She is apparently the spouse of Jerrard (Jared) SELBY who is 10 years younger then she is.
IMMIGRATION RECORDS: She was 50 years old, listed as Matilda BAIRD, when she came across the plains with her sons, Richard Alexander and Brigham Young BAIRD, in the Alvus H. Patterson Company, Departure: 29 or 30 June 1863, Arrival in Salt Lake Valley: 4 September 1863, Company Information: About 200 individuals and 50 wagons were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Florence, Nebraska (now Omaha). Where are all of her other chidlren at this time?
