According to Bennie Jackson of San Angelo, Texas she was born in Richmond, Ray, Missouri.

According to Lillie Fraley Barnes, she thought her grandmother's maiden name was THORNTON instead of TREADWAY.

She was 47 in 1880 and both her parents were born in Missouri.

On the 1900, census she says she is the mother of 7 children but only 6 are still living. She also said she was born April 1830. She was living with her son James W. McDaniel, in 1900. On the 1900 census she says her father was born in Virginia and her mother was born in Vermont.

NOTES: According to Daisy Fraley my grandmother she had heard that Elizabeth was either buried at the Cookseyville or Mexico Cemetery in Crittenden County, Kentucky. But there is not a marker for her. Also the old Rammer place is located between Crayne and Mexico in Crittenden County. My mom Jean Fraley Beard was born just across the field from the old Rammer place.

COURT RECORDS: I found a court record today 27 Sept 2001 from Deed Book 11, Page #153, Montgomery County, Kentucky, dated 3 Nov 1823, which states William Thornton Treadway, orphan son of Joel Treadway, 17 years old on the 12th instant, was bound to Jacob E. Butler until 21 to learn "the trade, art and mystery of a house joiner". That means he would have been born 12 Nov 1806, so the age of 45 in 1850 is correct.


Charlotte

She was 32 in 1850 census says she is born in Kentucky and 1860 she is 46 and says she is born in Tennessee. In 1900 her daughter Elizabeth states that she was born in Vermont. Where was she really born?
