NOTES: Elijah is recorded as one of six Flanary's in the area of McElmurry Station on the upper Mississippi River in 1777. His brother's Isaac and Daniel testified in 1777 that Elijah lived at St. Phillips for some time. A 1791 Act of Congress said that Elijah, Thomas, Jr., & Samuel Handley improved Illinois Territory land before 1788 and were entitled to 400 acres. Elijah was listed in the 1810 Livingston County, Kentucky census. He testified about brother Daniel in 1812. He married in "the little village", where Daniel lived.
