For some reason George took the last name of Green after coming to Kentucky and most of his descendants as well. George's brothers and sisters seem to stick to Crayne for the last name. Some people say that their accent was so strong that it sound more like Green then Crayne and that is why George just kept it as Green.
In 1850, she was living at home with her parents and was 27 years old her husband had apparently died she was living there with her son Robert Woodside.

MILITARY RECORDS: He served in the Union Army in Company F, 15th Regiment Kentucky Volunteers during the Civil War. Andrew Jasper Tosh was born in Crittenden County, Kentucky on January 12, 1838, the son of William Tosh. Both of Andrew's parents were born in Virginia. He enlisted in Co. F, 15th Ky. Cavalry US on August 18, 1862. He served as a Corporal. He was discharge on October 6, 1863, at Paducah, Kentucky. He married Mary Ann "Polly" Carner on October 12, 1865. Mary was born in Caldwell County, Kentucky August 27, 1840. Her father was born in Caldwell County, Kentucky and he rmother was born in Illinois. This was the first marriage for Jasper and for Mary Ann and Jasper signed his marriage license. James Keeney was surety for the marriage. Jasper was a farmer. They had nine children: William U. age 13, Eliza E. age 12, Lucy C. age 9, Mary P. age 8, Harvey E. age 6, Irene B. age 4, and Francis M. age 3. Jasper is listed as a Union Veteran in the 1910 census. He was a farmer. He died on February 3, 1920 and is buried in the Tosh Family Cemetery in Caldwell County. Mary died on December 4, 1921 and is buried beside her husband.
