Mrs. Lucinda BYARD aged 74 years, died in Lyon County near Hughey after a long illness. She was twice married, her first husband having been Harvey GRUBBS, who died 40 years ago, leaving a widow and 7 children, all of whom she raised on a 50 acre farm and all good citzens. Will GRUBBS, who lives near this city and who is employed by Dr. STONE, is one of her sons. He spent last week with his mother and returned home Friday night, thinking her some better, but a message received from there Monday night brought the news of death and Mr. GRUBBS left Tuesday morning to attend the funeral and burial, which took place at the Hill Graveyard on the Fredonia and Princeton Road.

William David JOHNSON

He was 7 in 1850.

MILITARY RECORDS: He served in the Union Army in Company F, 15th Regiment Kentucky Volunteers during the Civil War as a teamster. He is also on the 1865 Crittenden County, Kentucky Militia List. William David Johnson was born September 9, 1844. He enlisted March 11, 1863 in Co. F, 15th Regiment Ky. Volunteer Cavalry US. He was discharged October 6, 1863. He served as a teamster. He died June 9, 1915 and is buried in the Pilot Knob Cemetery. He has a family tombstone.
