OBITUARY: Crittenden Press Newspaper
Vonelle WINN STURGEON, 71, of Marion, died Tuesday, 24 Feb 2004 at Salem Springlake Care Center. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Marion and a retired florist. She was a member of the Marion City Council from 1988 to 1993, when she made an unsuccessful bid for mayor. Mrs. STURGEON is survived by one son, Kent STURGEON of Benton; one sister, Glenda DONOHO of Frankfort; and one granddaughter, Shay Lynn STURGEON of Benton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim STURGEON, and two brothers. Her parents were Lyle and Roberta WINN. Funeral service was Thursday, 26th Feb at St. William Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard CASH officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Arrangements by Gilbert Funeral Home.

OBITUARY: Crittenden Press Newspaper, Marion, Kentucky
George WINN, 68, of Marion, died May 23, 2003 at Crittenden Hospital. He was the retired owner of Marion Machine Works, which he purchased in 1973. He was a former director of The Peoples Bank in Marion; he was a National Director of Jaycees; and was named outstanding director of U.S. Jaycees. He was a member of Marion Baptist Church, where he was a deacon; and a member of the Crittenden County Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife, Judy WINN of Marion; two sisters, Glenda DONOHOO of Frankfort, Kentucky and Vonelle STURGEON of Salem; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were May 26, 2003 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Dr. Darrell CLARKE officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Marion Baptist Church, 131 E. Depot St., Marion, KY 42064; to Fohs Hall, Inc., P.O. Box 1, Marion, KY 42064; or to the Save the Old Hospital fund, P.O. Box 1, Marion, KY 42064.
