CENSUS RECORDS: 1840 Pittsylvania County, Virginia film #29691
There is a David Fralick age 40/50, a female age 20/30, a female age 5/10 attending school, and a female age under 5. This is the right age for our David, but where is Lucy and his older children?????

CENSUS RECORDS: 2 Oct 1850, Northern Dist., Pittsylvania, Virginia film #444958
There is a David Fralick age 55 years born in Virginia living with a Sally Pemberton age 27 born in Virginia. I believe this is our David and for some reason Lucy left him and went to Kentucky with her children. This Sally Pemberton may possibly be another child of David and Lucy's. Still need to check further on this. I do not find David in the 1860 census records so he may have died. One scenario could be David was sick and he stayed in Virginia while Lucy went on to Kentucky.

The grooms mother Levy Frala gave consent for her boy to be married since he was under age. The father of the bride Lonnie Fryar gave permission for the bride to marry because she was also under age. Robert Frala and Lonnie Fryar signed a bond in the amount of $100.00 for a marriage license 16 June 1911. I have a copy of the marriage certificate, the marriage register and marriage bond. Also a copy of the note written by Levy Frala giving her boy permission to marry.

CENSUS RECORDS: 7 Jan 1920 Lola Rd, Salem, Livingston, Kentucky film #1820587, family #31/33 & 31/34

FRALIE, Robert head, age 28, male, widow, farmer, KY KY MO
FRALIE, Corene dau, age 6, female, MO KY KY
FRALIE, Ermon son, age 5, male, MO KY MO
(Robert and the children were living with his mother Levy and his stepfather. According to Papaw "Ermon Fraley" he did not see his father for almost 7 years after his mother died. But this census was taken just 2 years after Mary died.)

He was 38 in 1930 and said he had been married the first time when he was 19 years old. They are living in Salem, Livingston, Kentucky.

NOTES: Right before Grandpa Fraley died he told his daughter-in-law Juanita Fraley that he had been married one other time over in Missouri. A few years ago Aunt Juanita told me about it and ask if I could find out who it was. Aunt Juanita said that Grandpa went back and forth to Missouri quite often. Grandpa married Mary Belt on 25 February 1923 and she had their daughter 27 February 1923 (The little girl who they named May died the same day just a few hours later.) Then on 14 October 1923 he married Earline LEE over in Kewanee, Missouri. When Bob married Earline LEE, it says that the fathers of both parties gave there consent for marriage. (But Bob would have been 31 years old not under 21 years old??? I think Uncle John Frala, Bob's brother was probably acting like he was Bob's father. My mom said Uncle John looked old enough to be and Bob always looked younger then he was.) Grandpa was back in Kentucky before to long as he and Mary had a son born 2 September 1924. I have not been able to find out what happen to Earline. Maybe she found out about Mary in Kentucky and had her marriage annulled. I can't find any record of her after the marriage.

Mary Belle FRYAR

She was 6 in 1900.

MARRIAGE RECORD: They were married at the home of the brides father. The witnesses were David C. Loveless and Lewis J. Ross.

NOTES: Papaw (Ermon Fraley) said that his mother was buried in a cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri but that her grave was never marked and when his Dad (Robert Ermon Fraley) went back to see it he could not remember exactly where it was located in the cemetery.
