Uncle Gid did marry Sophia Morgan but Forrest Longstreet paid him $5.00 to do it. He never lived with Sophia. Forrest and Sophia went to Missouri so he would not go to jail for having fun in the back forty if you get my drift. They had a total of 7 kids. Forrest never divorced his fist wife which was Sophia's sister. I also have a lot of pictures of the family. I do have a picture of John Jefferson Asher, Sophia, and a bunch more. My grandmother was Forrest daughter. She knew Sophia well. I have Sophia and Gid's marriage license when they where married in Kentucky. Would be glad to share info I have. Also have a copy of Sophia's obit. Thanks, Rick Winters, email address: us9797@evansville.net (Received this email 28 March 2001)
