In the name of God Amen I Thomas Woosley of Norfolk County on the western branch of Elizabeth River be weeke of body but in perfect mind and memory, doe make and ordain this to be my last will and testement heretofor by me maid and this be taken held and Decined to be my last will and testament. I bequeath my soule unto God who gave it and my bodie to the earth to be decently buried. I give and bequeath unto my eldest son Thomas Woosley one fire lock fowling piece. Son John Woosley one pair lock muscault. daughter Mary Cherry one ewe. daughter Ann Woosley one ewe. daughter Mawdlin Woosley one ewe. Loving wife Mary Woosley all personal & real estate and anything else that he owns that is not mentioned in his will. wife Mary sole execitrix. signed (in his own writing) Thomas Woosley

Woosley's are not found in any more Norfolk records after 1718. I believe this is the same family who shows up in Cumberland, Buckingham, Amelia and Halifax Counties later on.
