NOTES: She was murdered by her husband in Illinois, the story about her murder was in the magazine "True Detective". Her husband killed her then tied her too the concrete porch steps of their trailer and then threw her in a pond so she would sink to the bottom.

OBITUARY: Crittenden Press 1 Dec 1960 === Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Moore, 26, who died near Alton, Illinois on November 13th, were held at Boyd Funeral Chapel Wednesday Nov 23rd. Burial was in Union Cemetery. She was a former Crittenden County residence. Survivors include her husband Coy Moore Jr. of Alton, Illinois, mother Mrs. Tellia Duncan of Beaumont, Texas, two sisters Mrs. G. B. Kirk of Marion, and Mrs. Katherine Wyatt of Texas; two brothers Clinton Yates of Indiana and Maurice Yates of Texas.
