NOTES: They lived in Jackson and Wayne Counties in Illinois after leaving Kentucky. He did not die on the date that was recorded on his tombstone and did not die in Wayne County. That is the date he left with some younger woman and went to Missouri and no one ever saw or heard from him ever again according to family legend.

Phillip and Matilda were married by Henry Darnall a Minister of the Gospel. Thomas Lacy made an oath that Phillip Henson was of lawful age to marry, and William McKinney did the same for Matilda.
He was 60 in 1850, born in North Carolina living in Dist #11, Wayne County, Illinois.


She was 60 in 1850 born in South Carolina.

Tombstone says birth year 1783 and death year 1862, but other records say death year 1867, not sure which is correct at this time.

His WILL, was dated 13 Sep 1831 in Livingston Co, Kentucky, and was recorded in court 7 Jan 1833.

He must have died of the cholera as he mentions how bad it is in the area.

Harvey Washington BIGHAM

He died from injuries received in the explosion of the Steamer 'Louisiana' on which he was a passenger. Harvey was the first County Court Clerk and Circuit Court Clerk of Crittenden County, Kentucky, holding both offices at the same time.

He was an infant baptism of the Bethany-Marion Presbyterian Church in 1845.

He was the first white child born in Marion the new county seat.

At the time of his marriage he was a lawyer, but afterwards abandoned that profession for the pulpit, and for a quarter of a century or more was regarded as one of the ablest ministers of the Methodist Episcopal Church South in Kentucky.

By 1905 they were living in Florida. In 1911 he was living in Ocala, Florida.
