Baldenburg

Catholic

The church remained Catholic after the reformation. Nevertheless, it
became dilapidated and had to be torn down. The order went out in
1645 to erect a new building and keep a priest as in Hammerstein.
The present Catholic chapel that hardly extends over the houses was
built in 1878 as a filial of Eickfier. - from Schlochau's Bygone Days.
