 I Adaline M. Clarke do, on oath declare that the above described negros in this Schedule
is my Separate property March the twelvth day-eighteen hundred & forty nine

aforesaid Adaline M. Clark, and declared on oath that the negros mentioned in the within
Schedule & described are her Separate Property of sutch I hereby Certify the same and

Certificates thereto were Recorded in Office in Record Book of Separate Property of
Married Women B, Page 1  at 10 O’clock A.M. March 13th AD 1849

A Skedule of Property Belonging to me Adaline M. Clarke as my Seprate Property that I
think I Neglected to include or forgot to do so when I give the Schedule of my Negroes,
this property is follows is my Own Seprate Property and should be included with the
Skedule of the property of my Negroes.  Two Carriage horses, Harry a bay horse eight or
nine years old,  Ball a Sorrel with Blaze face about ten years old.  One Cariage or Buggy
also Two Waggons & two yok Beef Oxen.  Bed Stid & Bedding one gray horse mule
say 10 years old , One brown mare mule about 8 years old, One Gray Mare about 7 years
old & her colt this spring past & her last year mule colt, also Two Cows & Calves

Personally appeared Before me William B. Williamson Notary Public in State & County
aforesaid, Adaline M. Clark, the wife of Wm. N. Clark, and being examined by me as the
law directs in such cases, on oath saith that the within Skedule is just & true & she thinks
She forgot to include it in the skedule of her Negroes as it should have bin done then
She now gives this to be annexed to that of her negro property the same Being
Acknowledged by her husband William N. Clark of sutch  I here Certify the same and sign
my name and affix the seal of my office this first day of August eighteen hundred & forty nine

Note-The word “Two Yok Beef” in the 11th line & one 19th line plainly written on

Polk County     }  A Schedule of the Separate Property of Adaline M. Clarke, Consort of
W. N. Clark, both of County and State aforesaid to be recorded according to the Issueing
of an act of the Legislature of the State of Texas approved 29th April A.D. 1846, entitled
an act “To provide for the registration of the Separate Property of married Women”.  This
Schedule prepared for the purpose of I above mentioned is also intended to remedy
defects that exists or supposed to exist in two Separate Schedules of the property
(Separate) of the Said Adaline M Clarke, already recorded as the law directs.  The
Schedule recorded March 13th A.D. 1849 mentions and describes the negro Separate
Property of  the said Adaline M. Clark.  The one recorded Aug. 1st A.D. 1849 mentions &
describes another description of Separate Property of the said A. M. Clarke.  The
following Schedule mentions & describes the Property Contained in the Schedules
alluded to above.
1st  Dave, a man Slave (black) aged about forty eight
2nd Dan, a man Slave (black) aged about forty nine
3rd  Sinclear,  a man Slave (black) aged about thirty eight
4th  Hardy, a man Slave (black) aged about forty
5th  Hilary,  a boy Slave (black)  aged about twenty
6th  Mary,  a woman Slave (black) aged about thirty five
7th  Betsey, a woman Slave (black) aged about forty
8th  Cole, a man Slave (black) aged about fifty
9th  Nelly, a woman Slave of yellow Complexion aged about thirty five
10th  Ben, a boy Slave (black) aged about ten
11th  George, a boy Slave (black) aged about eight
12th Austin, a boy Slave (black) aged about six
13th Harriet, a girl Slave (black) aged about four
14th  Marinda, a girl child Slave (black) aged three months
Two Carriage horses, viz. Harry a bay horse eight or nine years old & Ball a sorrel with
blaze face about ten years old.  One Carriage or Buggy.  Also two wagons and two yoke
of oxen.  Bedstead, Bed & Bedding.  One gray horse mule say ten years old.  One brown
mare mule about eight years old.  One gray mare about seven years old and her colt this
spring last  & her last year mule Colt.  Two cows & calves.  One Brown horse mule Jim
eight years old.

Polk County     }  Personally appeared before me Wm. B. Williamson a Notary Public for
County & State aforesaid W. N. Clark and Adeline M. Clark residents of County & State
aforesaid  and known to me to be the persons mentioned in the captions of  the
foregoing Schedule, and whose names are hereto subscribed, presented the foregoing
Schedule and acknowledged the property mentioned and described in the Same to be the
Separate Property of said Adaline M. Clark.   In Testimony Whereof I have here unto set
my hand and affixed the seal of my office  This 29th September A.D. 1849
