The Town
Howdy friends. Welcome to my little interpretive map of the Town the Magnificent Seven protect and live in. Please keep in mind that this is not intended to be THE definative map of the entire Melody Ranch set. This is, rather, my construction of how the town might look, if it were transmogrified into a real Old West settlement. I have endeavored to keep all main street buildings and businesses, side-streets, alleys, and one or two sets of exterior stairs, in the actual order and positions in which they are found on-site. However, I have applied only those names seen in use during the course of the original TV series. Some buildings served more than one function, with the aid of sign changes and camera angles, and some were never named, at all. Also, for the purposes of this map, I have drawn buildings to my own scale and thus somewhat distorted the true scale of the movie set, which in reality is quite small. Undoubtedly I have omitted some structures entirely, simply because they were off on side-streets and either never seen clearly, or not used as part of main street scenes. This is merely for your enjoyment, and if fan fiction writers find use for this little doodle, I will be gratified. Meanwhile, enjoy, explore, and I hope you have a pleasant stay in "our" little town.
