83, NewWaterford Mrs. Anna Jane MacLean, 83, a former resident of 292 Patrick St., NewWaterford, died piecefully in Breton Bay Nursing Home, Sydney,
Wednesday, October 04, 1995. Born at Carbonnear, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Albert and Eliza (Penny) Cole. She was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, where she sang an d directed the choir and was involved
in many church activities in her younger days. She attended Central School and was very active in crafts, making beautiful quilts, crochet and embroidery workings.
Mrs. MacLean is survived by three daugthers, Marilyn (Mrs. Murdock Tomiczek), Janice MacLean and Phyllis (Mrs. Hugh Allen MacLellan), all of NewWaterford; four sons, Lawrence and his wife Judy, Rober t and his wife Isabelle, Raymond and his wife Agnes and Leo and his wife Beverly, all of NewWaterford; one sister Mrs. Emma Ryan, Scotchtown; two brothers, Bill Cole, NewWaterford and Joe Cole, Breto n Bay Nursing Home, 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Peter MacLean; one son, Damien Byron at six months of age, one sister, Mrs. Eliza Wesley Neilse n, Kitchener, Ontario, one brother, John Robert Cole. Visitation for the late Mrs. MacLean will take place today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home. Funeral service will be
held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from All Saints Anglican Church with Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations to All Saints Anglican Church in memory of Anna Jane Ma cLean

GILLIS, John Boyd - 43, 3594 Ellsworth Ave., New Waterford, died July 16, 1993, in Toronto, Ont. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of John A. Gillis, New Waterford, and the late Margaret Dolly (Brad y) Gillis. He is survived by four brothers, Raymond, at home; Lloyd, New Waterford; Daniel, New Victoria; Robert, Brampton, Ont.; two sisters, Shauna, New Waterford; Rebecca (Mrs. Francis Fiore), Bram pton, Ont. He was predeceased by a brother, Edwin; sister, Barbara. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, New Waterford, under the direction of V.J. Mc Gillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford.
