Mailing
lists are remarkably simple means of communicating. You send a piece
of e-mail to the list's address, and the list retransmits that message
to everyone who is subscribed. It amplifies the communication of
genealogy
and
historical interests to all members.
How
to Subscribe and Unsubscribe:
First,
you have to choose which mode you prefer:
¤
Mail mode - delivers each piece of mail as an entity.
¤
Digest mode - collects the mails and delivers them to you in a single
'digest' form at the end of the day.
Second,
you send a message to your preferred list with a "subscribe"
message in the body of the message.
Third,
when your membership has been accepted you then can post to the list
using the appropriate address.
