Peter Manley Dies; Park Dept. Watchman
Peter J. Manley, a watchman in the employ of the Park department at Pleasure
Beach for many years, died early today in his home, 379 Fairfield Avenue,
after a short illness. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.
m. from the funeral home of Gallagher and Gallagher, 571 Fairfield Avenue,
and in St. Augustine’s church, with requiem high mass at 9 o’clock.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s cemetery.
Mr. Manley, a resident of this city for 40 years, was a member of St.
Augustine’s Holy Name Society. His survivors are his wife; two sisters
who reside in Buffalo, N. Y., and three brothers, Michael, Thomas, and
Frank Manley, of Scranton, PA.
