Long Time Perry Resident Dies Earl WILLIAMS
    Funeral services for Earl WILLIAMS, ?9, Rest Vewi Nursing home, Sioux City and formerlt of Perry township will be at 3 p.m. Firday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral hime, 711 Myrtle St., Sioux City.  Rev. Wallace A. STARK of Whitfield United Methodist church will officiate.  Burial will be in Liberty township cemetery, west of Hinton.
    Mr. William died Tuesday at the nursing home after a long illness.  Mr. WILLIAMS was born in rural Hinton, July 20, 1884, and has lived most of his life in Plymouth county.  He was a retired farmer and blacksmith.  He married Belle HUSTED at Westfield, March 19, 1907.  She died in 1916.  He married Laura SMITH at Ponca, Neb., Oct. 25, 1919.  He was a Methodist.
    Survivors incluve the widow; eight sonss, Lester and John of Sioux City, Daryl of South Sioux City, Melvin and Gary both of Westfield, Howard and Richard, both of Merrill and Paul of Hinton; two daughters, Mrs. Jean WOODRUFF of Redondo, Calif., and Mrs. Doris WILLIAMS of ??aywood, Calif.; a brother, Frank of Sioux City; three sister, Mrs. Clara LANSBURY, Mrs. Elsie HOWARD and Mrs. Ethel CHRISTENSEN, all of Sioux City; 19 granchildren and two great grandchildren.
    Pallbearers will be Kenneth LOUNSBURY, Ervin VEHE, Charles PRIDIE, Bruce ELLIOTT, and Leonard and David KROLL.    Aug. 1973


Laura E. WILLIAMS
    Laur E. Williams, 93, of rural Hinton, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness
    Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at the Christy Morningside Funeral home with Rev. Kaurice D. STREYFELLER of the Wesley United Methodist church officiating.  Burial was at Liberty township cemetery, Hinton.  Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home.
    Mrs. WILLIAMS was born on Dec. 31, 1898, at Ponca, Neb., daughter of Charles L. and Edith U. SMITH.  She graduated from Ponca High School.  She taught school at Akorn, Colo., and at the Perry #3 School in Plymouth cpunty.  She married Earl WILLIAMS on Hinton on Oct. 25, 1919.  He died on Aug 14, 1973.  She lived on the same farm near Hinton for over 70 years.  She is a Methodist.
    Survivors include eight sons, Lester and John, both od Sioux City, Melvin of Westfiled, Daryl of South Cioux CIty, Howard, Richard and Gary, all of Merrill, and Paul of Hinton; two daughters, Jean WOODRUFF of Lawndale, Calif., and Doris WILLIAMS of Maywood, Calif.; a sister, Joyce CARSSOW of Bellflower, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
    She was preceeded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

    Lester WILLIAMS of Sioux City died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
