************************************************************************************ David MARCH Is Called By Death
Funeral servies for David E. MARCH, 62, of Sioux City, who passed away Friday night in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness, was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon at the W. Harry Christy chapel. Rev. H. M. BURNS, pastor of Whitfield Methodist church, officiated and burial was made in the Liberty township cemetery. Mr. March was born Januarary 18, 1884, at Hinton where he spent 30 years of his life. He served several years here as a rural mail carrier. He married Sarah BERGER on March 2, 1910, at Hinton. The couple later moved to White River, S. D. where Mr. MARCH was in the trucking business. They moved to Sioux City seven years ago, where he was employed by the Farmers Supply Co. at the time of his death.
Survivors include his widow; a son, David Jr.; two daughters, Miss Rebecca and Mrs. Lilliam Mae WALKER, all of Sioux City; two brothers, Frank and Ray, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Alice CROUCH of Sioux City; and five grand children. Mrs. David MARCH, 82, a former Sioux Citya, died Friday at Fontana, Calif., after a brief illness. She had lived in Sioux City until moving to Fontana a few months ago. Mrs. MARCH, the former Sara BERGER, was born Aug. 30, 1884, in Plymouth County, Ia. She was marrried in 1910 at Hinton, and they moved to Sioux City in 1939. Mr. MARCH died Oct. 22, 1946, in Sioux City. She was a member of the Whitefield Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Steven BODMAN of Fontana, and Mrs. Lillan Mae WALKER of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two brothers, George BERGER of Sioux City and William BERGER of Marcus, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Lillian BROWN of Merrill, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral home in the westside. Rev. Harold V. BARTZ of Whitefield Methodist church officaited. Burail was in the Liberty township cemetery north west of Hinton. June 1967
