MAN FOUND DEAD - William Ferguson Succumbs to Sudden Attack of Illness
    Coroner John BEELY was called to Perry Township on Wednesday by a message stating a man had been found dead the previous afternoon.  Mr. BEELY made the trip to Perry township, leaving here at 7;15 and returning at noon, making the six mile drive back and forth to Perry Creek from Sioux City.  He reported the death occurred from natural causes.  Will FERGUSON was found dead at four 0'clock on Tuesday afternoon in a small house he was building a short distance from his home.  His death was due to a hemorrhage of the brain
    Mr. FERGUSON was a native to Scotland where he was born on September 15, 1860.  He came to Plymouth county about twenty five years ago.  He leaves a wife and three children.  The funeral was hel yesterday, the intermnet taking place in Sioux City.    April 1911


Death of Mrs. FERGUSON Taken By Death
    Mrs. Joan FERGUSON, 83, passed away at her home in Perry Township, where she had resided for 50 years.
    Mrs. FERGUSON was born October 19, 1864, in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland and was married on Janurary 15, 1884, to Wm. FERGUSON.  About 63 years ago they migrated to LeMars, Iowa, on June 12, 1885. and she and her husband spent the balance of their liveds in Plymouth county.  They lived on a farm in Perry Township several miles south west of Hinton.
    Mrs. FERGUSON had many friends in the community in which she lived who mourn her passing.
    Survivors include two sons, Francis and William FERGUSON of this community; a daughter, Mrs. Harry DEHL of Crofton, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. George FERGUSON of James; one brother on Scotland; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Her husband died in 1911.
    Funeral Services were held TUesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Anderson Funeral Home in Sioux City, with Rev. Geroge W. DUNN officiating.  Burial was in the Liberty township cemetery.    Feb 1948

PERRY CENTER - Many old firends and neighbors attended the funeral services for Mrs. Joan FERGUSON last week Tuesday afternoon in the Anderson Funeral home at Sioux City.  Rev. George DUNN officiates and burial was in Liberty township cemetery.  Pallbearers were Ralph, Robert and Martin DEHL of Crofton, Neb., Berkley BATES and Karl ADAMS of Sioux City, and Ray BECK of Hinton.

    Funeral services for William FERGUSON, 78, who died last week Wednesday were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mauer Funeral home in LeMars.  Rev. Gale HAWHEE, pastor of the Hinton Methodist church, officiated.  Burial was at the Liberty township cemetery.
    Mr. FERGUSON was born October 31, 1884, in Scotland and came to the United States and Plymouth county at the age of 6 months with his parents.  He has lived in the county since moving to Hinton about 11 years ago.  He had followed the occupation of farming.
    He was married to Pearl MURRILL June 26, 1912, at Sioux City.
    Survivors include the widow; 4 daughters, Mrs. Karl ( Florence ) ADAMS of San Francisco, Mrs. Ray ( Nettie ) BECK of Merrill; Mrs. Geroge ( Bessie ) ESLAVA of Sioux City, and Mrs. Carl ( Barbara ) SCHUTTPIEZ of Des Moines; 12 frandchildren; a brother, Francis FERGUSON of James.    1964

    Mrs. William FERGUSON, 82, a resident of Indian Hills Care Center Sioux City, died Wednesday morning ( Aug. 25, 1976 ) at a Sioux City hosptial after a long illiness.
    Mrs. FERGUSON, the former Pearl Ethel MURRILL, was born on Sept. 20, 1893 in Wayne, Neb. and was married June 24, 1912 at Sioux City.
    The couple farmed in Perry township, Plymouth county untill 1952 when they moved to Hinton.
    Mr. FERGUSON died July 14, 1963 in Hinton.  Mrs. FERGUSON moved to Sioux City in 1972.
    Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.  Rev. David MUZOREWA, pastor of Melbourne United Methodist church, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Liberty township cemetery.
    She was a member of the Hinton United Methodist Church.
    Survivors are four daughters; Mrs. Karl ( Florence ) ADAMS of San Francisco, Mrs. Ray ( Nettie ) BECK and Mrs. Carl ( Barbara ) SCHUTPELZ, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Harrod ( Bessie ) CARMANDY of Apache Junction, Ariz.; 14 grand children, and eight grand children.    August 1976
