Mrs. Harry DEHL and daug. Barbara Jean DEHL
    Nettie Grace FERGUSON DEHL, daughter of William and Joan FERGUSON, was born March 8. 1896, at Hinton, Iowa, and departed this life on August 31, 1949, at the age of 53 years and five months.  She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of Hinton and at the age of 12 years was converted and baptized in the Evangelical church to shich she reamined a true Christian the remainder of her life.  On June 22, 1920, she was married to Harry DEHL of Riverton, Wyoming.  To this union where born six children of which one departed this life in infancy.  The oldest, Mrs. Earl MARCHEN of Bloomfiled, NE., Robert of Bloomfield, Ralph who is in the armed forces in Japan, Mrs. Dennis KUBE of Bloomfield and Martin, living at home.
    As a bride she moved with her husband to a homestead at Lander, Wyo., after which they ranched in Fremont county until 1930 when she and her husband move to Omaha where they lived the following 10 years.  In 1939 they purchased a farm west of Crofton, NE., where they have since resided.
    She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, five children, 3 granchildren, two brothers, William and Francis FERGUSON of this vicinity and a host of friends where ever she was known.  Barbara Dean, daughter of Harry and Nettie Grace DEHL, was born at Omaha on July 29, 1933, and departed this life at the age of one day.
    Funeral services for Mrs. DEHL and daughter, Barbara Jean, were conducted at the Congregational church by Ref. Charles CROWNER of Friday, Sept 2, after which the remains were taken to the Anderson funeral home in Sioux City where a second service was held in her home community.  The remains of the mother and infant daughter were interred together in the Liberty township cemetery near the old home of the mother.


Harry DEHL
    A number of friends and former neighbors of the Harry DEHL and FERGUSON families attended the graveside services for Harry DEHL Saturday afternoon in Liberty township cemetery.   Mr. DEHL died August 3, at Rapid City, S. D., after a brief ilness.  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. at Crofton, Neb. his former residence.  Mrs. Nettie FERGUSON DEHL died August 1949.  Survivors include the widow Linda, three sons, Ralph, Robert and Martin, all of Soda SPrings, Idaho, two daughters, Mrs. Bernice MERCHANT of Nemo, S.D., Mrs. Helen KUBA of Lyneh, Neb., two brothers, Gledon and John DEHL of Illinois, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth HINES of Topeka, Kans. and secen grandchildren.    August 1955
