Lorna R Montilla, a writer from the Philippines (e-mail lormonti@netscape.net), is looking for Joyce Kindred Platt, who was an artist back in the early '60's and taught fine arts at the Philippine Women's University. Also looking for her is John Crockett of Unionville, CT, a writer and former diplomat, now retired. Does anyone know who she is, and where she is now?
Wendy Andrews-Bolster, 7 Stanchion St., Jamestown, RI 02835-2048 (e-mail PuffinEnt@aol.com) is looking for info/connection on her gggrandmother, Anna Platt, b. 12 January 1764, poss. daughter of Nathan Platt, who married 30 May 1789, Kings Co. (?), Elisha Andrus. They lived in Otsego Co., NY and were from Saratoga (Stillwater), and the Andrus family from Canaan, CT before that. In 1840 Anna Platt Andrus applied for her husband (now deceased) a Rev. War pension from Otsego Co. One of their many children was David Beardsley Andrus, b 1798, d aft 1850). The baptisms of this family were recorded by a Rev. Nash from St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Otsego Co. That part of the family lived in Monticello, Otsego Co.
Dennis Burchett, 2114 28th Ave. Ct., Greeley, CO 80631-6517, e-mail dino@ctos.com, is looking for a record of a Mary Platt who married a Robert Burchett about 1675 in Prince George Co., VA. This is apparently not the Richard Platt of Milford, CT family or the Thomas Platt of Burlington, NJ family either. Can anyone help him?
Virginia Fletcher, 1361 W. Irene St., Pahrump, NV 89048, e-mail noelee@pahrump.net, is a descendant of Erastus May Platt of the Thomas Platt of Burlington, NJ family, and his wife Louisa Jane Smith, of Tippecanoe Co., IN. She has taken her Smith line back to Bartholomew Smith, b. Stuttgart, Germany, 1740, and from there to Holland and to this country. Can anyone take her Smith line back any farther?
